I got into game development in October 2021, and I'm trying to learn more and more about the topic by improving myself with every single project I make :)
Timeline
October 26 2021: After a week's work, I published my first video game ever, PONG! This was my very first time using Unity and the C# language, and I loved it.
February 10, 2022: After developing PONG, school made sure I didn't have much free time for any serious game development. However, during spring break, I finally managed to get back into game development. And thus, Untitled Amogus Game (UAG) was born. It's nothing perfect, just a fun project (with a couple bugs :D). I can't stress enough how much this game taught me about game development. I realized that making PONG wasn't even scratching the surface of the endless amazing things that can be done with the power of Unity and C#. I had no clue about making a bigger-scoped project on Unity and how to maintain a tidy architecture, making pixel art, and sound design. Now, I feel great about developing games on my own as each project makes me more confident in myself. I really want to join a couple game jams to further improve my game development skills in the future, if I find any free time that is :]
